Intellihome makes use of Google Analytics to analyse the use of its website. Google Analytics generates statistical and other information on the use of the website by means of cookies that are stored on the computers of users. The generated information with regard to our website is used to make reports on the use of our websites. Google will store this information and will make use of it. Intellihome uses a cookie to measure ad performances for advertisers that have signed up for conversion tracking on the websites of Intellihome and the partners of Intellihome. The cookie for conversion tracking is generated when a user clicks on an ad delivered by Intellihome for which advertisers have signed up for tracking. These cookies expire after 30 days and are can not be identified personally. When this cookie is not yet when the user visits certain pages of the advertiser’s website, Intellihome and the advertiser may be aware that the user has clicked on the ad and subsequently went to that page. Each advertiser receives another cookie, so that no cookie can be tracked on the websites and apps of advertisers.


Blocking cookies will have a negative influence on the usability of the website.

  • Open the Internet Explorer-window
  • Klick on the button "Tools"
  • Go to  "Safety" and click on “Delete browsing history”
  • Tick the “Cookies” box, then click “delete”

Click "Safety" on the Command bar
Select "Delete Browsing History"
Select the option for cookies and click Delete

Alternatively, Internet Explorer 8's new InPrivate browsing feature allows users to browse the internet without recording information from visited sites (including cookies). To use InPrivate mode:

Click "Safety" on the Command bar
Select "InPrivate Browsing"

Internet Explorer 7.x

Exit Internet Explorer 7, and then exit any instances of Windows Explorer
Click Start, click Run, type inetcpl.cpl, and then press ENTER
On the General tab, click Delete under Browsing History in the Internet Properties dialog box
In the Delete Browsing History dialog box, click Delete Cookies
In the Delete Cookies dialog box, click Yes.

Internet Explorer (all other versions)

Internet Explorer saves cookies in more than one location, depending on the version of the browser and the version of Microsoft Windows being used.

The best way to find and delete them is to close Internet Explorer then use your file management software (such as Windows Explorer) and search for a folder called 'cookies'.

Google Chrome

If you are using Google Chrome to disable cookies:

  • Go to 'Tools Menu'
  • Click on 'Options'
  • Click on 'Under the Hood'
  • 'Cookie Setting' should be selected. Once done select 'Block all Cookies'
  • Now all cookies should be blocked on your Google Chrome

To clear existing cookies:

  • Go to 'Tools Menu'
  • Click on 'Options'
  • Click on 'Under the Hood'
  • Under 'Privacy' section select "Show Cookies'
  • A new window should open called 'Cookies' In here you can see all the cookies within your Google Chrome Browser.
  • Click on "Remove All" to remove all traces of cookies
  • If you wish to only remove a certain cookie, simply highlight and click "Remove

Mozilla Firefox

If you are using Firefox 2.0+ / 3.0+ / 4.0+/ to disable cookies:

  • Go to 'Tools' in the menu bar
  • Click on 'Options'
  • Click on 'Privacy Tab'
  • Disable the box that says 'Accept Cookies From sites'

To clear existing cookies:

  • Go to 'Tools' in the menu bar
  • Click on 'Options'
  • Click on 'Privacy Tab'
  • Click on "Clear Now"
  • Select "Cookies"
  • Click on "Clear Private Data Now"

Safari 5.1 + (the later editions)

  • Go to the Safari Menu, click 'About', to determine which version of Safari you are using.
  • From the Safari Menu, click on 'Preferences.
  • Once in the Safari preference window, click 'Privacy'.
  • Set your preferences for accepting cookies next to 'Block Cookies'.
  • Select 'Parties and Advertisers' - 'Always' or 'Never'.
  • If there are any website data/cookies being stored, click 'Details'.
  • If you wish to remove the data, highlight the information and click 'Remove'.
  • If you wish to remove the data from all the sites, simply click 'Remove All'.
  • Now you are finished, click 'Done' to return to the preference window.

Safari 5.0.x - (the previous editions)

  • Go to the Safari Menu, click 'About', to determine which version of Safari you are using.
  • From the Safari Menu, click on 'Preferences.
  • Enable cookies by selecting next to 'Accept Cookies' - 'Always or Only from sites you navigate to'.
  • Disable cookies by selecting 'Never'.
  • View your cookies by clicking on ''Show Cookies'.
  • Browse your list of cookies on your computer in the sheet that drops down.
  • Remove all cookies by clicking, 'Remove All'.
  • Click 'Done' when you are finished to return to the preference window.
